April 1, 1906 - Clifton Avenue Bridge Over Cut is Now Very Close to Completion

On March 11, 1853 the Delaware & Cobb's Gap Railroad merged with the Lacawanna and Western Railroad to form the Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroad.  The Delaware, Lacawanna & Western Railroad purchased the Morris & Essex Railroad on December 10, 1868.  It merged with the Erie Railroad on October 17, 1960 to form the Erie Lackawanna Railroad.

 

The railroad raised the tracks starting in 1901.
