From Streetcars of New Jersey: Metropolitan Northeast

The Hamburgh Place Horse Car Railroad was chartered on March 30, 1869 with George Lorenz, Joseph Hensler, Christopher Wiedenmeyer as directors.  It was authorized to construct track from Market and Ferry Streets through Ferry STreet and Hamburgh Street to end at Avenue L.  It constructed .5 miles of road.
