Newark's Tallest Building: Evolution - Deterioration - Rebirth By Nat Bodian

Construction started in 1930 and was completed in 1931. It has a steel structure with a brown brick facade. The height is 465' and has 34 floors. The building was renovated in 2002. It was the tallest building in New Jersey from the time it was built until 1989. The top of the building resembles the mausoleum at Halicarnassus.
