This was the 1,993 seat Ritz Theater located at 409 Springfield Avenue in what had been old German Town, not too far from the old Laurel Garden. It was a frequent Saturday afternoon destination for me and my friends. There we could watch such long discussed epics as the latest Abbott and Costello film, or a juicy B-film horror movie. This cost 25 cents and included a cartoon or two before the film.
