218 viewsThese were predecessors of Smith and Smith undertaking firm. Establishment in 1880, known as Briant & Son, was at 830 Broad Street, near Old First Church, beneath offices of Riker & Riker. From left, Charles J. Briant, Charles C. Briant, James A. Briant, the founder and his grandson, Harry C. Higginson. The firm became Briant & Woodruff, then Joseph A. Logan and in 1903 became Smith & Smith. Mr. Higginson, who began working for his grandfather, April, 23, 188*, is well established with his firm.
